Two of Miami’s most innovative chefs will take over this Culinary Cruise

Princess Cruises hired Miami’s own Brad Kilgore (Alter, BRAVA) and Scott Linquist (Coyo Taco) to headline their third annual Culinary Cruise Series. The cruise sails out of Fort Lauderdale from Feb. 11-18.

All you need to know about this trip is that you’re going to eat and drink very, very well. This isn’t your grandma’s midnight buffet.

Expect chef-led cooking demonstrations, cookbook signings, Q+A sessions and special menus.  You’ll even get to explore parts of the Caribbean and Mexico on chef-led shore excursions. Linquist will be your guide through the cuisine of Cozumel. Kilgore will lead in Jamaica. Other ports include the cruise line’s private island and Grand Cayman.

Kilgore will showcase some of his favorites including short rib Wellington with truffled mushrooms and free-range chicken with popcorn Hollandaise.

“What an opportunity to showcase my dishes to the guests of Regal Princess,” Kilgore said. “The setting provides an opportunity to share my experience, my style of cooking, and my passion for food in a very intimate way.

Linquist will give sea legs to his upscale Mexican like Coyo’s charred octopus tacos with salsa veracruzana and pickled jalapeños.

“I am proud to represent the expanding Miami food scene to the Princess Cruises guest,” said Linquist. “I love cooking, teaching and interacting with passionate food lovers.”

In charge of the sweets will be one of Princess Cruises’ culinary partners, Norman Love. The French-trained chocolate expert will be leading several cooking demos and curate chocolate tastings.
